DEADLINE FOR ARTICLES FOR THE DECEMBER BLUE DIAMOND
WEDNESDAY 23rd. NOVEMBER NORTHERN REGION CLUB RUN
This year our Northern Region get together will be held in Tatura, a picturesque town in the Goulburn Valley.
10 am. Meet in Tatura (see details below). We will begin with a visit to the home of Riley Club members Rob and Heather Stuart and share morning tea which they have kindly offered to provide.
Rob has a fine collection of stationary engines which he has restored and I am sure will have some interesting stories to tell about them.
Lunch will be held at The Gallery Café. This is an old beautifully renovated home converted into a café with old world charm. The food gets an excellent review as well as being reasonably priced. Parking is at the rear.
After Lunch we will be visiting the Tatura Irrigation and war time camps museum. Whether it is Local, Family, Irrigation or War Time Camps history every article on display has a direct connection with Tatura and is not just part of a general historical display.
The Museum closes at 3pm after which we will share afternoon tea together (bring your thermos and cake plus chairs.) The Venue will be decided on the day.
